These beautiful K2 Moons are in the crescent shape, which makes them instantly recognisable as moons as opposed to circles or semi circles. Each phase of the Moon has particular significance associated with it. With a crescent moon it is either Waxing or Waning, coming or going in simple terms.

The fact that the Moon moves through different cycles and does not remain fixed, symbolizes the cycle of life itself. After all, in life, we often find ourselves in different phases, some where we reap the rewards of our actions and can rest, and others where we must work hard to achieve what we want.

These beautiful Gold Sheen Obsidian Moons are in the crescent shape, which makes them instantly recognisable as moons as opposed to circles or semi circles. Each phase of the Moon has particular significance associated with it. With a crescent moon it is either Waxing or Waning, coming or going in simple terms.

in a Waxing Crescent Moon - The Moon’s illumination is growing, but we can only see less than half of the Moon from Earth. This phase is linked to making inventions and resolutions. Whereas in a Waning Crescent Moon - the Moon's brightness is dimming. We can see less than a quarter of the Moon . The phase is associated with surrender. These pieces can represent either of these lunar cycles, depending on which way you turn them, as seen in the group photos.

Of course, as well as the symbolism associated with the different phases of the Moon, the Moon as an entity also signifies many things. For example, in many spiritual traditions, the Moon is associated with female energy and female deities while the Sun is seen as male.

indeed, there are many goddesses associated with lunar energy, and in turn, these deities are often protectors of those in childbirth and children, themselves. Goddesses associated with lunar energy are often defenders of children and are immortal matrons of childbirth.

in addition to representing the divine feminine, in spirituality, the Moon is also associated with enlightenment and illumination and our conscious and subconscious. After all, the Moon does shine down on us all and illuminates the dark.

However, unlike the Sun, the Moon's method of illumination is more subtle, relying on reflected light. This is important in Moon symbolism because you will often see associations between gentle, intuitive, and passive knowledge. Indeed, the Moon is believed to represent the type of knowledge that comes to us and insight, rather than the kind we can actively search for in the world.

Of course, this connection to inner insight matches well with the association of the Moon in spirituality with our inner world. The parts of our experience that are not immediately obvious to those around us or even ourselves. Indeed, the Moon symbolizes things such as our inner feelings and desires, our shadow self, and things that we are yet to discover about ourselves. Yet, with the gentle illumination that the Moon brings, we can come to learn these things about ourselves and integrate them without too much strife.

K2 Stone/Jasper:-

K2 stone is the name given to a recently discovered stone found in the foothills of the second highest mountain on Earth, K2 in the Karakoram mountain range which borders Pakistan and China. K2 Stone is a combination stone characterised by vivid blue or green “spots” in a mottled granite matrix. There is divided opinion as to the blue/green mineral, some sources say it is Afghanite whilst others say azurite and the green malachite (both copper based minerals).

Afghanite, named after the country where it was first discovered, is a complex mineral that contains the elements sodium, calcium, potassium, silicon, aluminium, sulphur, chloride, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Afghanite was discovered in a Lapis Lazuli mine and many of the elements found in Afghanite are also present in Lazurite a major constituent of Lapis Lazuli. The name Lazurite is often confused with the name Lazulite, and Lazulite is a synonym for Azurite so may be this is adding to the confusion too.

However K2 Stone is a rare, unique stone whatever the mineral make up, allowing one to reach the highest “peaks” of consciousness and grounding energy into the third dimensional reality.

K2  is a combination stone with an impressive ancestral pedigree that can be traced back to the ancient Greeks and Native American healers who used Azurite in their healing rituals. Occasionally marked with Green Malachite inclusions, its perfect blue orbs look like dye but to everyone’s surprise, these unique characteristics are actually a natural formation, adding to its ethereal and otherworldly aesthetic.

K2 is associated with the strength and resolve that comes from feeling harmonious and balanced in all aspects of life. It’s the granite that gives K2 its powerful grounding effects, opening the doors to your sharpest intuition. Making up the foundation of earth's crust, granite helps anchor us to the earth while our spirit floats on puffy white clouds and converses with angels. With the K2 crystal stone, find your inner muse and ask your creative spirit to come out and play.

The frequency of K2 Stone connects to the third eye chakra, opening this chakra and one’s consciousness to see the “bigger picture” of one’s life’s experiences. Giving one a higher awareness and to have clarity of thought to enable one to clearly see and know what is “right” for one.

K2 Stone increases one’s insight so that one is able to find answers to questions concerning issues in one’s life, it aids one’s intuition so that one is able to connect with the “all knowing” part of one’s being.

Besides its rare and distinctive aesthetic, the K2 stone vibrates with a powerful energy, which makes it an excellent stone for healing. This combination crystal gets its celestial quality from Azurite and its grounding and stabilising properties from Granite, giving you the benefits of a peaceful mind, the stepping-stone to spiritual enlightenment. If you seek universal truths, meditate with the K2 crystal and go deep. And by deep we mean as far back as past lives and ancestral lineage. Because it’s when the past and present merge that we begin to see the divine truth of the universe unfolding before our eyes.
