After trading very successfully on Etsy for 8 years I am now running my own site using the Shopify platform, which means I can offer more variety and cheaper prices. Currently only trading domestically in Australia, expansion will be organic from here.

Personally I have been drawn to minerals and rocks for over 40 years. For most of this time just as a collector, enthusiast and fossicker. I would often just go for a drive and check out a creek off the beaten track running through some interesting mountains that I discovered on Google Earth. Or find an old “mud map” detailing where I might find something interesting. Unfortunately this happens less frequently now as I also work in our family convenience store 7 days a week.

Just being in nature was enough to bring clarity and perspective to the often hectic world we immerse ourselves in. But to find some unusual piece of Petrified Wood or Chalcedony was a huge bonus and incentive to learn as much as I could about what I was finding and why it was in that location.

From these simple beginnings I now regularly import unusual pieces from all over the world. All items are individually chosen via live feeds to ensure the quality and uniqueness my customers have come to expect over the years.

Unlike many online stores I never use “stock photos” as examples of what you might receive, only to be disappointed when your piece arrives. This happens because many online sellers purchase in bulk lots from suppliers with a huge range in the quality of the pieces, you might get lucky, but often you will receive an inferior piece to the one in the listing photos.

You will always receive the exact piece in the listing photos and most listings will also have one or two group photos as a comparison of other pieces that are available.

I have been told many times that if I edited my photos a lot more my sales would increase, but to me this feels deceptive. Please excuse the stark background to most of my photos as the only opportunity I have to take them is at work and I would rather show real life genuine photos than AI altered deceptive ones. I pride myself on my ability to choose beautiful, unique pieces, not in my ability to edit photos 🙏.
