Another material with too many names - Green Cherry Blossom Jasper, also known as Sakura Jasper, Rhyolite Green Flower Jasper, Russian Flower Agate, Flower Jade, Coral Sakura and flower jasper. This material is actually a combination of Bird’s Eye Rhyolite and Green Jasper that crystallizes in the form of masses. The Rhyolite rosettes crysatlize in pink to dark red hues, and are scattered throughout a Green Jasper matrix, which often contains natural fissures and imperfections. This stone was originally discovered in Madagascar a few years ago but similar material has been discovered elsewhere including Russia and India. This particular material is definitely from Madagascar.
Rhyolite:-
The name Rhyolite (from Greek "rhuax" for stream or flow plus "lithos" for stone) was introduced into geology in 1860 by the German traveler and geologist Ferdinand von Richthofen.
Rhyolite can look very similar to Jaspers, and the popular green variety of rhyolite is sometimes called Rainforest Jasper. Similarly, the type of rhyolite that displays red, yellow, brown, and pinkish spots is descriptively called Leopardskin Jasper. Rhyolites, igneous rock chemically identical to granite, have beautifully markings which originated when rhyolitic magma and lava cooled from a molten state too quickly for crystals to form.
Perceived as a balancing stone, Rhyolite is often recommended to increase self-esteem, self-worth while helping to bring resolution to issues. It is stone that is thought to facilitate change, variety and progress while helping to deal calmly with challenges. Rhyolite is believed to assist in fulfilling one's goals and making one's dreams come true, while strengthening the soul, body and mind. Rhyolite has strong associations with the Earth.
Rhyolite helps one better understand themselves and the complex universe around them. Energies full of strength, endurance, drive, and transformation flow from this stone, just like the magma that once created this volcanic rock. This flow helps one balance their polarities and realign your chakra column. As this is occurring, one's emotional and mental state will slowly change due to the foreign presence moving into your “core”. As you build a deeper connection with the energies being channeled through you, you may find comfort in absorbing and releasing the blockages that are built up within your soul. These emotions can stem from past traumas or fear for what's to come. As one is unable to reverse the past or control the future, they must live in the now.
Rhyolite awakens the strength within you, helping you power through the day and achieve some form of joy and happiness. It helps to serve as a daily reminder to take time for yourself to actively create and pursue goals. These are vital to building one’s confidence so that you can show yourself, and the universe, your true capabilities. You are capable of anything if your heart, soul, and mind are aligned. The limitation is not external, and never will be.
Jasper:-
In general, Jasper is known as the “supreme nurturer”. It sustains and supports during times of stress, and brings tranquility and wholeness. Used in healing, Jasper unifies all aspects of your life. Jasper reminds people to help each other.
The word Jasper comes from “iaspi” a Greek word that means “spotted stone”. Jasper is an opaque rock of virtually any color stemming from the mineral content of the original sediments or ash. Patterns arise during the consolidation process forming flow and depositional patterns in the original silica rich sediment or volcanic ash, Hydrothermal action is generally thought to be required in the formation of jasper.
Jasper is a variety of quartz that may contain up to 20 percent foreign materials or inclusions, including organic material and mineral oxides, which determine the colour, pattern and appearance of the stone. Uniformly coloured jasper is uncommon but not unheard of; usually jasper is multicoloured, spotted or banded.
Jasper can be modified by the diffusion of minerals along discontinuities providing the appearance of vegetative growth, i.e., dendritic. The original materials are often fractured and/or distorted, after deposition, into diverse patterns, which are later filled in with other colorful minerals. Weathering, with time, will create intensely coloured superficial rinds.
The classification and naming of jasper varieties presents a challenge. Terms attributed to various well-defined materials includes the geographic locality where it is found, sometimes quite restricted such as "Bruneau" (a canyon) and "Lahontan" (a lake), rivers and even individual mountains; many are fanciful, such as "forest fire" or "rainbow", while others are descriptive, such as "autumn" or "porcelain". A few are designated by the place of origin such as a brown Egyptian or red African.
Palmstones:-
Palmstones are designed to fit into the palm of your hand and have a lovely tactile shape. They can be used in lots of ways and are beautiful enough to display at home. Lay palmstones on the skin, use them focus energy, carry them with you or simply hold the stone to feel its energy.
Holding a palmstone creates a powerful connection between our being and the crystal's energy. Just holding a palmstone can give us moments of stillness and calm. They are excellent for relaxation, meditation, and crystal healing. The palmstones' design makes it easy to carry them with us.
One of the best ways to enjoy a palm stone's energy is to meditate with it. There are various crystals that can help us enter deep meditation states. When you want to get tuned to your crystal's energy hold the palm stone in the palm of your hand, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and focus your attention on the stone.
