This particular material is known as “Bamboo Jasper” or “Bamboo Leaf Jasper”, named for the appearance of bamboo stalks contained within and is sourced from Jiangsu Province, China. Bamboo Jasper is a chert/jasper formation that presents itself as a mineral conglomerate. Unlike the small spheres in my store this is top quality material with a high gloss finish. I was only able to source 2 pieces of this high grade unusual material and you are very unlikely to meet anyone wearing a “Bamboo Jasper” solid bangle.
