This top quality dark translucent Serpentine was sourced from the Balochistan region of Pakistan and has amazing colour and polish. This piece weighs 401g and measures 9cm x 7cm x 3.5cm,

A common misconception amongst people and indeed marketplace platforms, (Etsy for example) is that any form of Serpentine is extremely hazardous. Serpentine in this shaped and polished form is of no hazard to your health - unless you decide to grind it down and ingest it (which I would certainly not recommend for any stone/crystal).

Serpentine is the name given to a subgroup of minerals formed in Serpentinite rock. The colours can vary from light and dark greens to brown, yellow, white, and grey. Commonly known Serpentine minerals that have been independently verified are Lizardite, Atlantisite, Greenstone, and Infinite. The name was given to this group of minerals in 1564 by Georgius Agricola after the Latin word “serpens” for its similarity to that of a snake or serpent.
