This wand weighs 165g and measures 14cm x 2.5cm.

This material is sourced from India and marketed as “Tourmaline in Serpentine” either intentionally or through ignorance and just wanting to make a sale. Unfortunately this combination is completely impossible in nature as both materials form under completely different conditions and from entirely distinct chemistry. I think this is still a striking material but it is actually Pyroxene in Serpentine.

My research indicates that the most likely source would be the Aravalli mountain range in Rajasthan, probably Rishabhdeo. The world famous “Rishabhdeo Green Marble" (which is actually a dense, hard Serpentinite rock). These formations frequently contain massive veins of un-altered dark Pyroxenite and Amphibolite right alongside the highly altered green Serpentine.

Pyroxene and Amphibole minerals often grow in long, dark, prismatic columns. When polished, the dense black or dark green sections in this rock look strikingly similar to black Tourmaline to an untrained eye. Combined with the greenish matrix, perhaps  suppliers choose"Tourmaline in Serpentine" because it sells significantly better in the gem and mineral market than "Altered Pyroxenite."

The material itself varies quite significantly, especially in the size and shape of the black Pyroxene crystals embedded in the Serpentine matrix. I will also be listing some spheres with much larger Pyroxene crystals. The different appearance is due to the piece of the rock selected for the spheres underwent more intense hydrothermal alteration. The background has fully converted into soft, light-green serpentine, while the large, stubborn blocks of dark pyroxene resisted the change, leaving behind that distinct, sharp "mosaic" block look.

Serpentine:-

Serpentine is the name given to a subgroup of minerals formed in Serpentinite rock. The colors can vary from light and dark greens to brown, yellow, white, and grey. Commonly known Serpentine minerals that have been independently verified are Lizardite, Atlantisite, Greenstone, and Infinite. The name was given to this group of minerals in 1564 by Georgius Agricola after the Latin word “serpens” for its similarity to that of a snake or serpent.

Serpentine helps us access our Kundalini Energy which is an ancient Tantra teaching that involves a vibration that sits at the base of our spine. While dormant, this energy is believed to be coiled up, much like a serpent. This inner power is accessed through realms such as deep meditation, the use of Serpentine crystals, and yoga. Once released, an effect known as a Kundalini Awakening will begin to take place. When experiencing this great awakening you may feel more in-tune with yourself and notice signs of your inner intuition come to life. This intellectual upgrade tends to lead to an expansion of the mind and attunement to higher realms. To reach these realms one must be willing to open their pineal gland and restore the true confidence of our own mental abilities.

With this stone in hand, you are able to connect the lower chakras with the higher chakras to achieve homeostasis. It will encourage compassion for yourself and others and enhance your innate healing abilities. If the heart chakra is out of balance you may have sudden bursts of anger, jealousy or blaming others for any issues that arise in your life. You might need constant confirmation of your self worth, feeling unloved or lacks compassion for others.

Serpentine can help you to be less sensitive to the thoughts, comments or opinions of others. It can help you feel more self confident and less invested in receiving external praise or appreciation. Serpentine is a stone of independence that may engender a sense of being protected, stimulating you to move into new realms and social circles without hesitancy or fear.

Serpentine helps you keep your mind focused on positive thoughts and reminds you to be aware of negative thoughts so you can immediately release them and replace them with good thoughts.

Serpentine grounds you as you traverse the depths of your consciousness. With this stone in hand, you will find it easier to meditate, and it will no longer seem like a daunting task. This stone is good for shamanic journey work, regression therapy and progression therapy, which helps clear your consciousness of the source of negative thoughts patterns.

Serpentine is a grounding stone that will help you with meditation and spiritual exploration. This stone clears the chakras and stimulates the crown chakra. It opens your psychic abilities and helps you understand the spiritual basis of life. This stone opens new pathways to kundalini energy. It will help you remember past lives, retrieve wisdom.

Pyroxene:-

Pyroxene was classified by the famous French mineralogist and Catholic priest René Just Haüy (often called the "Father of Modern Crystallography").

Haüy coined the name from the Greek words
pyr (fire) and xenos (stranger). He observed the mineral embedded inside glassy volcanic lavas. At the time, scientists believed lava was pure volcanic glass and that these crystalline nuggets were accidental impurities trapped inside—literally "strangers" to the fire. Ironically, modern geology proved the exact opposite: pyroxenes are early-stage crystals that form directly out of high-temperature magmas deep under the Earth.

Pyroxenes are not a single mineral, but a large family of inosilicates (chain silicates). They feature continuous, single chains of silicon and oxygen atoms bound together.

The pyroxene family includes ordinary rock-forming minerals like Augite, Diopside, and Enstatite, as well as highly prized gemstones like Jadeite (true Jade) and Spodumene(which produces Kunzite and Hiddenite).

The primary spiritual properties attributed to the pyroxene family include activation of  internal energy and sharpen instinctual awareness, helping you detect and avoid negative situations before they manifest. It is also viewed as a stone that breaks mental stagnation, helping to clear overthinking and release subconscious emotional blockages. Due to its origins deep within the Earth's mantle and volcanic rock, it holds a heavy, protective anchoring energy that builds endurance and willpower.

Crystal Wands:-

Crystal wand massage is using the energetic qualities of a particular crystal in a massaging action using either the rounded or pointed end of the wand to soothe, relax, align, or energize a particular part of a person’s body – either yours or someone you are helping.

Now there are some real advantages here over traditional massage techniques. One of the big ones is that your hands do not get tired! Traditional massage puts great stress on fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders. Using a crystal wand avoids the strain and stress.

Secondly, the wands will focus the Universal Life Force with their unique energy structures to amplify or dispel energy depending on how they are used. Results will be faster and more long lasting than regular massage techniques that do not bring the amplifying power of crystals to the healing.

Finally, the crystal wands will allow for a wide variety of healing therapies with very little investment or re-learning. The crystalline energy matrices of the crystals will allow you to tailor a massage easily and effectively.

Wands and the chakras

Wands are effective when working on the energetic and etheric levels of the body. The simplest way to work with wands on this level is to activate and balance the 7 chakra system. There is no physical contact with the body in this method so it is a great introduction for someone who is not used to energy work. Starting at the base chakra, spiral the wand in a clockwise motion to activate and balance this centre. Continue until you feel this chakra is balanced and move on to the next one until you have balanced all 7 chakras. This is a very simple yet effective way to use crystal wands to balance the body.

Wands with reflexology

This method only takes 2-3 minutes and is based on the spinal zones of the hand in reflexology. It can bring relief in stressful situations and can be done on yourself or another person. Trace the crystal wand directly on the skin from the tip of the thumb. After doing the same to the other hand, you can try a basic unblocking of the brain stem by creating a circular motion at the base of the thumb followed by a zig zag motion as pictured. This helps the nervous system to function well and brings relaxation to the body. This is just one of a myriad of ways you can use crystal wands with reflexology.
