This lovely combination piece contains cubic Purple Druzy Fluorite, with a couple of Green Fluorite pieces on a Quartz Matrix containing “Angel Wing” Calcite. White Rose Calcite, also known as Rose Petal Calcite or Angel wing Calcite, are clusters are made up of thin interlocking plates resembling flower petals. This material is from Fujian, China. Unlike most “Angel Wing” Calcite, especially material from Hunan this particular specimen is only mildly UV reactive.

This piece weighs 148g and measures 8cm x 6cm x 3cm.

Calcite:-

While its name comes from the German word calcit (meaning limestone) and only came into use relatively recently, in the ancient world, calcite was grouped together with gypsum and called “alabaster” for its fair, milky colour.
