This piece weighs 117g and measures 5cm x 3.5cm x 3.5cm.

This particular material is from Mali in West Africa and is much sort after for the unique ‘grape’ formation that is, to my knowledge only evident in specimens from this location. Some specimens also include large blades of Epidote attached to or piercing through the ‘grapes’. I have selected most of the pieces in this group for the excellent Epidote content.

Epidote appears in the colour range from yellowish-green to greenish-black, the crystals have a vitreous lustre and are translucent to transparent.
