These beautiful dolphins have been skilfully carved from Lemon Chrysoprase/Lemon Magnesite and have been pre drilled ready for you to make your own special piece of jewellery. They all measure approximately 5cm x 3cm x 1cm and are simply gorgeous.

Lemon Chrysoprase is a name given to Nickeloan Magnesite, also known as Lemon Magnesite or Citron (Citrus) Magnesite which is a nickel rich variety of Magnesite. This material is found exclusively in Western Australia and forms in magnesium-rich ultramafic igneous rocks as veins and nodules  It’s colour comes from a high concentration of nickel.

Magnesite, of any colour, is a very desirable mineral to mine because it is a rich source for Magnesium, an element that can only naturally occur in combination with other elements. Magnesite is used to produce epsom salts and synthetic rubber and is combined with Aluminium or Zinc to give structural strength to aircrafts and spaceships.
