Kambaba Jasper, is also known as Kambaba Stone or Green Stromatolite Jasper, amongst others. The green and black swirling colour pattern can also have someì crystal collectors confusing this stone with Nebula Stone.

Kambaba Jasper is actually not a Jasper or a fossil, but actually a form of Spherulitic Rhyolite. This material is predominantly found in the west-central Bongolava region of Madagascar, although similar material has surfaced from mainland South Africa.

There is a common misconception between Kambaba Jasper and Nebula Stone, with many dealers on the market even selling Kambaba Jasper as Nebula Stone. This drives the price of the stone up considerably, which also leads to the mis-labelling of Kambala Jasper as Nebula Stone.
