These are natural Blue Spinel crystals on Matrix from Pakistan and make for interesting specimens. The matrix is a marble comprised of recrystallised Carbonate Calcite and I have applied a thin protective coating of gloss to these items to allow them to be handled without damaging the surface. The Spinel crystals are natural and have not been enhanced in any way. The colour of the Mica is quite unusual and is a brassy golden colour, providing a wonderful colour contrast to both the Marble and the Spinels..

This piece weighs 17g and measures 3.5cm x 1.5cm x 1cm.

Blue spinel:-
