The Nine-Tailed Fox, Chinese (九尾狐, jiǔwěihú) is a mythical entity originating from Chinese Mythology. Also known as Kitsune in Japanese and Kumiho in Korean, is a powerful mythical creature with varied interpretations in East Asian folklore. The nine tails are said to represent wisdom and magical prowess.

In Chinese folklores, foxes are depicted as spirits possessed of magic powers. The number nine in Chinese culture often signifies totality, and the nine tails of the fox are believed to symbolize a high level of spiritual development and power. These foxes are often depicted as mischievous, usually tricking other people, with the ability to disguise themselves as a beautiful man or woman.

In the Qin Dynasty, the nine-tailed fox was an auspicious symbol. The appearance of a nine-tailed fox symbolizes peace and prosperity in the world. According to the ancient illustrated book of Ruiying Tupu《瑞应图谱》, when the king is over-distracted by beauty, the nine-tailed fox would arrive (王者不倾于色，则九尾狐至). Another record in the old book Furuizhi 《宋书·符瑞志》reveals “The white fox would arrive if the king is both benevolent and wise (白狐,王者仁智则至).”

The nine-tailed fox is also a sign of marriage and love, and whoever marries a nine-tailed fox would have many children and many grandchildren. In the legend, a monarch called Yu did not get married until he reached the age of thirty. He saw a nine-tailed fox in a place called Tushan, and he thought it was an auspicious sign of a king so he married a woman in Tushan. The nine-tailed fox witnessed the love between Yu and the Tushan woman.

Sodalite:-

Sodalite is a rare rock forming mineral best known for its blue to blue-violet colour. It has a chemical composition of Na4Al3Si3O12Cl and is a member of the feldspathoid mineral group. High-quality sodalite is used as a gemstone, a sculptural material, and an architectural stone.

Sodalite occurs in igneous rocks that crystallized from sodium-rich magmas. This is the origin of the name "sodalite." These magmas also contained so little silicon and aluminium that quartz and feldspar minerals are often absent.

Sodalite often has white veining, and it can be confused with Lapis Lazuli, however Sodalite generally has very little, if any pyrite. Small amounts of sodalite are present in many specimens of lapis lazuli. If significant pyrite is present, the specimen is not sodalite.

The name Sodalite reflects this mineral's Sodium content and was named by a Glasgow chemist, Professor Thomas Thomson, who had been hired by the British to identify the stone after they had captured a shipment of it being sent from Greenland to Denmark during the Napoleonic Wars.  Although first discovered and recorded in 1806 in Greenland, it took until 1891 for this attractive deep blue stone to become important in the world of ornamental stones.  It was then that it was found in vast deposits in Ontario, Canada, by Frank D. Adams, during the Geological Survey of Canada. 

Later, as it was chosen as an interior decoration for the Marlborough House in England by Princess Patricia who had been visiting Ontario at the time and who had fallen in love with the stone, many began to refer to it as "Princess Blue".  Sodalite has also been called "Canadian Blue Stone" or simply "Bluestone".
