This piece weighs 100g and measures 5.5cm x 5cm x 1.5cm. The cracks that are visible on a couple of these pieces seem to be just under the surface as the surface feels completely smooth. 

This  is very interesting material that I have virtually no information on apart from it originally came from somewhere in India. I have had this material for several years, periodically trying to find more information or similar materials. The label on the material was green Jasper, which could mean virtually anything as the term ‘Jasper’ is often applied to many materials that are not remotely Jasper.

In my opinion and several other people I have consulted it appears to be a form of rock-forming Silicate Mineral similar to Lizardite, however there is also an intrusion of a faint mauve material that is more like a soap stone or common opal.

I will base the metaphysical attributes for this material on a Lizardite group of minerals as to me this seems the most accurate.

Lizardite was first described in 1955 from a deposit on Lizard Point in Great Britai and is part of the Serpentine group. It is a metamorphic rock and its vivid lime-green colour is because it was previously an igneous rock studded with Peridot.

Lizardite has a wise and grounded energy and is considered valuable for teaching patience and non-attachment. It is a fantastic stone for boundary work and emotional healing and for centering as it both grounds and uplifts the spirt. It can be used to cleanse and align the entire chakra field and to awaken kundalini energy and help it to flow strongly. Lizardite opens up psychic channels and strengthens intuition, especially intuition that is based on subtle clues and sensitivities.

It helps us to trust our own intuition, even when other people argue against it. It offers comfort if we feel things other people don’t feel, or see things that other people don’t see. Lizardite teaches patience and reminds us that success is not always a swift path. Sometimes we must chase our dreams, while other times we have to lie in wait.
