The first generation of Calcite growth has been inundated in an Iron rich, (Hematite) soup deeply colouring the clear crystals. This has been followed by a druzy or sugary coating as it is sometimes referred to covering most of the Hematite coloured Calcite. Finally another generation of Clear Calcite crystals has formed in and on top of the existing Hematite coloured crystals.
