They are examples of unusual blocky Epidote crystal growth combined with Quartz clusters (some with red Hematite). They are sometimes confused with the Harledote Brandberg material from the Goboboseb Mountains in Namibia. However the Quartz is not quite as clear and the combination of red and black Hematite inclusions is lacking on this Chinese material and the Brandberg material only has druzy Epidote as opposed to crystal formations. Also the Chinese material is notably more budget friendly.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eEpidote is a calcium aluminium iron silicate hydroxide and wasn’t identified as a seperate mineral until the beginning of the nineteenth century. Occurring as prismatic, slender grooved crystals and as fibrous radiating aggregates Epidote is found in many worldwide locations.
